Deborah DeLisi: My Story in my Words
From crayons to computers, my path has been to express myself through art and creativity. Enjoying the left brain/right brain blend of art with a practical purpose, I decided to study graphic design in college. I went on to make my mark at ad agencies, television stations, and at my own graphic design and illustration company. Back then, I was known for my ‘cutesy’ mainstream paintings which featured birds, flowers, and homespun themes. Through perseverance, I was able to license my art for home decor products, kitchen accessories, gifts, calendars and greeting cards. That was a side business to my graphic design studio that created product packaging, brochures, catalogs and logos for a wide range of business clients large and small. I designed for all types of companies: bakeries, home builders, nuclear remediation companies, cheese makers, law enforcement product manufacturers, lollipop makers and hospitals. It was fun and I did it for over two decades.
Taking a blind leap of faith in 2004, I gave it all up, sold my home and followed a dream of moving across the country to the coast of California. To my friends and family it seemed like a crazy choice but I saw my future clearly on the horizon: ahead of me lay a new life with new energy and a new direction. My first glimpse of this new direction came about unexpectedly with some help from someone I view as a scientific visionary and a great mind of our time: Dr. Todd. His Pineal Toning Technique™ workshop that I attended was a catalyst that expanded my art expressions and initiated an inner understanding that went beyond the linearity of words. The Pineal Tones opened up my third eye to colors, energy and geometries, that played as vividly as an inner movie. The visions compelled me to move beyond the commercial art style I had been working in. I had to find a way to express these sacred geometries in a true way, without embellishing or diminishing what was experienced. At the same time, a request came from Dr. Todd to collaborate, and my Art of the Pineal Tones series was born. From 2005 to the present, I’ve painted a piece of art that corresponds to each level of the Pineal Tones™. I taught myself to paint in Photoshop, a process I still expand upon, play and experiment with.
My friend, Dr. Todd adds this:
“The art of Deb De Lisi breaks the boundaries of dimensional representations. How she can imply on a two dimensional screen geometries and realities that stretch into many higher than three dimensions is one of the most extraordinary accomplishments I have ever seen. Her work vibrates with notes and tones and overtones and invokes an expanded awareness state just looking at these pieces, each one in the series stretching to yet another level of expression. The images Deb creates carry the vibrational patterns brilliantly and stand on their own as a DNA activation tool. She combines an artist’s flair with shamanic vision and is a steady and formidable guide to walk the inner realms with and hear the voice of your own truth.”
What started out as a leap of faith, turned into a creative exploration that continues to grow. I believe everyone is here to express themselves creatively and I love to teach workshops that open others to creativity in surprising ways (do not confuse ‘creativity’ with ‘artwork’). Topics such as Symbols, Sacred Geometry, Archeoacoustics, Cymatics and Physics interest me, and I often weave them together in presentations I share at events and workshops. Working with people one-on-one to create personal channeled Soul Portraits and Energy Logos as well as individual intuitive reading sessions bring me great joy. Life is a blank canvas and we are the artists.
